Children's Park

  • Size - about 1.24 acres (Google Earth). GIS Tax Lot 2700
  • Popular for -family gatherings, ball playing, picknicking
  • Fun facts - Originally built in 1993, it was closed on March 2017 for renovation, and re-opened on September 2018.

Hood River Children's Park features a large playground structure, covered basketball court, restrooms, and an open lawn area.
The park was suddenly closed at the end of March 2017 when many safety concerns were discovered during a city inspection.
The original wooden structure, in place since a big community project in 1993 constructed the park, was replaced in 2018 by a new composite structure.  The effort was reminiscent of the community-wide cooperation that made the original Children's Park possible."
Children’s Park is a shining example that Hood River retains some of the same values that existed 25 years ago.
